Arvind Kumar has been with Tata Consultancy Services for the last 31 years. In the current role of Center Head of TCS Nagpur, he is responsible for the overall functions, including providing leadership for business growth, innovation, delivery, administration and operation of TCS Nagpur.
During his long association with TCS, Arvind has played multiple roles in technical, managerial, delivery, sales and pre-sales functions and interacted with Industries from many countries like the USA, UK, Japan, South Africa, and the Middle East, to name a few. Under his leadership, the TCS team has delivered success and brought innovative business models, products and solutions. He is known to nurture his team, realise their potential and develop leaders.
He is actively involved in many technical and professional associations and communities. He is in the Board of Governance and Academic Senate of many engineering institutes. Arvind has held the position of Vice Chairman and, subsequently, Chapter Chairman of the Computer Society of India. Similarly, he was vice chairman and subsequently chairman of IEEE Nagpur Subsection. Last year, he was the Chair of Industry Relations in the IEEE Mumbai Section. Arvind was also a jury member for many years at Tata Innovista, an innovation platform for Tata employees.
He has done his B-Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT (BHU) Varanasi in 1992.
